Please read these terms carefully before enrolling or using our services.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in Acton Academy, Ann Arbor ("Acton A2," "we," "our," or "us"), a learner-driven homeschool co-op powered by the Acton Academy model, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. By enrolling your child or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
1 Enrollment & Participation
Enrollment in Acton Academy, Ann Arbor is subject to availability and approval through our application process. By submitting an application, you acknowledge:
- All information provided in the application is accurate and complete.
- Enrollment is for the current academic term and must be renewed for subsequent terms.
- We reserve the right to accept or decline any application at our discretion.
- Enrollment fees are due as communicated at the time of acceptance and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
2 Homeschool Responsibility
Important: Acton Academy, Ann Arbor is a homeschool co-op supplement, not a licensed school. Parents and guardians retain full legal responsibility for their child's education, including compliance with Michigan homeschool laws and requirements.
By enrolling, you confirm that:
- You are legally responsible for homeschooling your child under Michigan law.
- Participation in Acton Academy, Ann Arbor does not replace your obligations as a homeschool educator.
- You will maintain any required records or documentation independently.
3 Code of Conduct
All students and families are expected to uphold the Acton Academy community standards:
- Treat all community members — students, guides, and parents — with respect.
- Students are expected to engage honestly and take ownership of their learning.
- Disruptive, harmful, or dishonest behavior may result in removal from the program.
- Parents are expected to support the co-op model and participate in community responsibilities as agreed upon enrollment.
We reserve the right to remove any student or family from the program for violations of our community standards, with appropriate notice where possible.
4 Fees & Payments
- Tuition and fees are communicated in your enrollment agreement and subject to change with reasonable notice.
- Payments are due on the dates specified in your enrollment agreement.
- Late payments may result in suspension of participation until the balance is settled.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
5 Media & Photography
Acton Academy, Ann Arbor may photograph or video students during activities for use in promotional materials, social media, or documentation of student work. By enrolling:
- You grant permission for use of your child's likeness in Acton Academy communications unless you opt out in writing.
- To opt out, notify us at [email protected] before your child's first session.
6 Liability & Supervision
Acton Academy, Ann Arbor takes reasonable precautions to ensure a safe environment. However:
- We are not liable for injuries or incidents that occur during participation, except where caused by our gross negligence.
- Parents or authorized guardians are responsible for drop-off and pick-up of students at the times specified in the program schedule.
- Acton Academy, Ann Arbor is not responsible for students outside of scheduled program hours.
7 Website Use
Your use of our website at a2acton.com is subject to the following:
- The content is provided for informational purposes only and may change without notice.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content commercially without written permission.
- We are not responsible for the content of third-party sites linked from our website.
8 Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and program materials — is the property of Acton Academy, Ann Arbor or its licensors (including Acton Academy). Unauthorized use is prohibited.
The Acton Academy name and methodology are the property of Acton Academy. Acton Academy, Ann Arbor is an independently owned and operated affiliate.
9 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify enrolled families of material changes via email. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes shall be resolved in Washtenaw County, Michigan.
